Dayan Qigong

Dayan Qigong follows the movements and the lifestyle of the wild goose; a bird that is intelligent, long lived, cooperative with its flock, and faithful to its mate. Dayan Qigong is a comprehensive practice, which consists of four parts: warm up exercises, acupressure self massage, meditation, and flowing movements. For centuries Dayan Qigong was handed down from master to student as a secret. After the Cultural Revolution in China, public classes were begun and were then brought to the United States.

Come learn and practice with Kat Ingalls at the Red Barn Wellness Collective. All are welcome! Our goal will be to form a weekly practice group, to inspire and support each other through our daily challenges.

We will continue to practice every Tuesday together, donations are welcomed. Please wear comfortable clothing. Come and have some fun!

Discovering "Our bodies are our life partners"

The Core Connection to Self Empowerment

During our first workshop in the series:

Come learn how to train the muscles in your pelvis, lower back, hips, and abdomen to work in harmony.  Understanding your core will gain you better balance and stability, improved efficiency of movement, increased power output, and reduced risk of injury.  You can’t ignore the core as it is the base of support for your entire body, literally helping you stay upright!

More scientific literature points to how we are “embodied” beings, that our mental and emotional well-being are rooted in our bodies! Just as the body-core provides balance and stability to the entire body, it also provides the foundation for our “core selves”. We’ll explore trauma research linking our physical bodies and emotions as well as the significance of the physical core in the way we carry ourselves in the world. The core literally holds the key to digesting emotions, managing stress and balancing vulnerability and strength, what we need to “stand up” as individuals.
